Ironically, Daemon's marriage to Rhaenyra really did bring Glory. It's his sons, Aegon III and Viserys II that continued the line and he had notable descendants. Daeron I - his grandson conquered Dorne. He did it without Dragons. It was a costly war but a feat. Baelor I - this guy is shit but he did broker peace between Dorne and the iron throne. Him arranging his cousin's double marriage pact got Dorne within the Seven Kingdoms.
